March Favourites

I thought I would do another monthly favourites today. These are never really big because I genuinely use the same stuff most the time but I like to do these to share any new things I've brought or things I've rediscovered. So heres a few random things I've been loving this month.

The Body Shop Dead Sea Salt Scrub - I loved this because its so gritty but also really moisturising. It's quite a chunky scrub but I find it exfoliates really well. Its also smells amazing!

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream- Its taken me a while to get into this but I have been loving it recently. It has great coverage and is so quick to apply.

Pro Formula Tescos Dental Floss Harps - Ok so I know this is a random one but I have been loving dental floss harps. There so easy and convenient (btw, Don't get the Tescos ones! they're rubbish. The Wilkinsons ones are the best but I ran out of them and replaced them with these. Wont be buying them from Tescos again though.)

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - I have fallen back in love with this again! You probably know how good it is :)

The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask - I have fallen back in love with this mask! I just love the creamy texture and its so soft. Also its green and smells amazing! I did a review which you can see here.

Essie Nail Polish in Cabana Boy- This is an off white silvery colour which I only brought this weekend but I am in love with this colour already. It also has a slight shimmer to it as well so quite wintery I think but I still love it.

The Body Shop Beurre Corporel Body Butter - This smells so so so good! I brought this in the sales and have been loving it! isn't lasting very long though and I'm hoping that this collection are still in the shops.

Let me know what your favourite things this month have been?

2016 Goals Reviewed

I have wanted to review my goals for the year for a few weeks now but haven't felt like doing it. But after an unproductive weekend of watching youtube videos and shopping I thought it was a good time have a look and see if theres anything I can tick off. There has been a couple of things that have happened this year already which have effected a couple of my goals. So a couple maybe be changed slightly and I also have an idea of how some can be achieved. If you'd like to check out the original post, check it out here.

Travel

Now I had a more adventurous idea for this. But as I got a new full time job after Christmas it just seems a bit ideal at the moment to use that job to save and get the experience and go traveling probably next year. So I have changed this slightly and I would like to visit 2 new countries this year.

Save save save!

This one has been going quite well so far this year. I have been putting a certain amount of my wages into my savings every month. As I said I'm my travel goal, I'm going to focus on saving this year so my aim is to carry on putting the same amount into my savings account every month as I have so far this year.

Give up meat

This one is sort of done! But I don't want to say its done yet. Me and a friend gave up meat for lent and it felt so good to cut it out. But as lent ended on sunday, and although I haven't eaten meat since,  I'm going to give it a few more months before I cross it off.

Make more effort making plans with people

I think this has gone well. I try to make plans most weekend with my friends. Although this can be hard at times because most my friends work at the weekends or live a bit away. But I am trying to achieve this by planning at least one thing every weekend with family or friends.

Go to a festival.

This one isn't looking very promising anymore. I had planned to go to reading festival but I could only get the friday off work, plus it doesn't look like my friends are going anymore. I might try and get a day ticket though but I think thats the best I'm going to do now. But I won't cancel it out just yet though.

Be able to touch my toes

Why am I so inflexible!! I am getting better at this though. I do a couple of classes a week and when we stretch out at the end I feel like I I'm not making any progress with it. But I think I have a little. I can now touch my ankle, maybe a little lower on a good day, aha.

Followers on my blog

I wanted 500 followers on my twitter and bloglovin. I managed to smash twitter in only a couple of months so I am going to raise that to 2000. I feel like that will be a lot harder. Not doing so well with bloglovin, but am going to make more of an effort to start following people on there again (kinda went off it for a while) and promote it a bit more on social media.

Get a domain name

This just hasn't happened yet.

Improve my photos.

I think I am putting a lot more effort into my photos and I am putting pictures on my blog that I like and am proud of. I want to improve the backgrounds though and get more variety.

More personal content

So I wanted to do this by doing weekly reflects. Which failed quickly. I enjoyed the writing part but I just didn't have any photos for them and my weeks are just me working so I wasn't pleased with them so have stopped. I have definitely been doing this in other ways though such as sharing my fitness journey and some photo diarys. I would like to do something similar to the weekly reflects again but a little different. So we will see how that goes.

New Goals

Ok so Its just one new goal, but its an exciting one! (well it is for me anyway)

Buy a car - I do have a car already but its my mums old one and I would really like to buy my own when the insurance runs out and so I can be all adult and stuff.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. I'm quite surprise with how well some of these are going.  I wouldn't have know unless I did this post so may do a couple more this year. I think its good to look back and adjust them or add more as you never no whats going to happen in the year that can effect them.

Have you achieved any of your 2016 goals yet?

Colchester Zoo

Just a quick post today. I when to Colchester zoo at the weekend and had such a good time. Its a really big zoo with loads of different things to do as well as lots of different animals. Theres lots of indoor enclosures which was handy this weekend as it was so cold and there was lots of chances to be interactive with the animals. My favourite was being able to feed the birds (I can't remember what they were called). They were really sociable and quite greedy, aha. We had a really good day out and if you haven't been, I would recommend you do. I thought I would show some of my favourite photos from the day.

Let me know if you've been to colchester or any other good zoos?

The Liebster Awards

In the last week I have been nominated twice for he Liebster Award by the lovely Kaitlin at Kaitlinlouise and Michelle at Homeat5. I wanted to answer both their questions so have done 5 of each. I did this post before a couple of months after I started blogging and was really excited to be nominated again.

The Rules

Answer the questions the person who nominated you gave you then nominated 11 people who have under 1000 followers to answer 11 questions.

Kaitlin's Questions

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Omg I'll be 31! Thats so scary to think about. Hopfully I have figured out what I want to do with my life. Maybe have started a family. Thats so scary to type aha.

If you could travel anywhere where would you go?

There are so many places I want to go. But if I could just pick one place at the moment I really want to go to Australia.

What is your favourite quote?

Tea, coffee or hot chocolate?

I'm not really a hot drink fan to be honest but if I had to pick one I normally go for green tea.

2 things you would like to achieve by the end of 2016?

My goals this year were to travel and to improve my health and fitness. I think they're going quite well so far. Got a few travel plans for later in the year and I am pushing myself at the gym and loving it.

Michelle's questions

How long have you been blogging for?

I have been blogging for over a year now. I started in decemeber 2014 and been loving it more and more ever since.

Why did you decide to start your blog?

I was getting obsessed with youtube and then discovered a lot of them had blogs to. I never had the guts too do youtube so when I found their blogs I thought it would be fun to start my own.

Do you prefer to read a book for watch TV?

I prefer watching tv! I haven't read a book in forever. I'm currently loving Pretty Little Lairs, friends, ibiza weekender and ant and dec's saturday night takeaway.

If money was no object what would you do all day?

Ummm? I was thinking traveling but I don't think I could do that in a day! I would be driven to London in time for the shops to open and go crazy shopping until they shut. Then go somewhere good for food then go to a fancy pub until the days over. Leaving enough time for me to be driven home.

Who would you want with you if you were stranded on a deserted island?

It would have to be my best friend! I don't think I could handle being on my own with someone else in that situation fora long time. And I think he would be able to handle it the most.

Blogs I nominate

March Fitness Routine

This is a post I have wanted to do for a while as over the last couple of months I have been going to the gym. But recently I have got my fitness routine on point and I am ready to share it with you. I do change it up quite a bit so if you guys like these I might do these quite regally.

I try to go the gym 3 times a week. I do a mixture of classes and my own workout.

Tuesdaymetafit

Thursday - boxercise

Saturday/sunday - My own workout

My own workout normally lasts 45 minutes, Which I do 10 minutes cardio, then 2 sets of 8 exercises, then finish with another 10 minute cardio. It may be short but its definitely a killer. I prefer Keeping it at that length and making the workout harder over time. I Do try to change it up regally as I don't want to get bored and want to keep pushing myself.

Weekend Workout

Cross trainer X 10 minutes

Triceps Dips x20

Bulgarian Split lunge x15 each side

Long arm crunch (with medicine ball) x20

Squats (with dumbbell) x20

Leg raises x20

Tricept extensions x20

Side Plank x 30 seconds each side

Plank x 1 minute

Then repeat again

Bike X 10 minutes

I'm really getting into going to the gym and this routine is really working for me. I'm actually enjoying it which is making it so easy to get motivated to go. I do change a couple of the exercise almost every week so I will update you guys in a couple of week a different routine.

Let me know if you have enjoyed this post? Would you like to see more fitness related posts?

What do you do to keep active?

Favourite Pink Beauty Products #glossierpink

I've gone back into a phase of adding a bit of natural colour into my look. I think pinky colours suite me the most so love using them in my makeup look. When I came across Glossiers pinterest board #glossierpink I was really interested in taking part as I love putting pink into my look. Glossiers slogan is 'skin care first, makeup second' which I love as its something I strongly believe in. So I thought I share with you my favourite pink things that I love to use to make me feel confident and look great.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish in 03 and 08 - These are my two go to nude lipsticks. I love pink nudes because I think they suit me best. Rimmel are do the best drugstore lipsticks by far. I have a darker one and a lighter one so perfect for whatever mood I'm in

Revolution Blush in Now! - This is my favourite colour blush. I suit these types of pinks so don't really go for anything else. This colour is so close to my favourite MAC blush so I was really happy my I found this one for much cheaper.

Benefit High Beam - This was my first highlighter that I brought and I love it so much! It leaves such a nice glow and blends nicely.

Zoella Blissful Mistful Body Mist - This has a really nice scent. Its really strong for a body spray and long lasting. Perfect use for  everyday.

The body shop Vitamin E Night Cream and Eye Cream - I love the vitamin E range at the body shop. My current favourites are the night cream and eye cream. There so moisturising  and great for my skin.

Whats your favourite pink shades?

February Favourites

I can't believe its a week into march already and I still have only just got around to doing this post. It's been a busy week. This months favourites is quite a small and random one but I still had a few things I wanted to share with you that I've been loving.

Invisibra - This has been so useful to have for nights out at the weekend. It stays on so well and is so comfortable. Check out my review here.

Mark Hill Styling Primer - you put this in your hair after you've washed it and its takes that freshly washed feel out of your hair. It makes it so much easier to style.

Beauty Blender - I go in and out of using this and I'm loving it again. It put a nice even layer on and is so quick and easy to use. (PS sorry it looks gross)

Maybelline The Nudes Pallet - I've been reaching for this so much this month! Its so pigmented and I love every colour in there. Check out my review here.

MAC velvet Teddy - I've been reaching for this one all month because I've been loving nudes and this is the perfect colour.

Biore Nose Strips- To put it blunt, this gets so much crap out of your nose. So much better than the previous brand I was using.

Nakd Salted Caramel Nibbles - I got this in my february Sourced Box and these were my favourite. There so yummy and the perfect snack to pick at while I'm at work.

Ibiza Weekender - I love this! So much drama.

Pretty Little Liars - I'm all caught up now and I'm interested to see where the new storyline is going.

Take Me Out The Gossip - If you like Take Me Out, This is 100 times better.

Fresh Meat - I was so excited to hear that this came back a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it.

Let me know what your favourite have been this month?

February Empties

I have another empties for you all. And this month, its a very big one. I can't believe how much stuff I managed to get through. This is going to be a long one so I'll just jump straight into it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - A big beauty staple of mine. I've mentioned this on my blog so many times.

Burts Bees lip balm - I love this so much! It is so moisturising and has stopped my lips going flaky after  a day of piling on the lipstick. I've actually stopped using my lip scrub because I don't need to anymore with this.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Toner - I am a big fan of the Vitamin E range and I loved using this.

Vaseline Intensive Care Moisturiser - This was a good cheap moisturiser which was really hydrating. I love it as a basic moisturiser.

Benefit Puff Off Eye Cream - I liked using this in the morning as it was refreshing and reduced the dark circles.

Aveeno moisturiser - I got a few of theses for free and was using it for a hand cream and I thought it was really good. It was moisturising and didnt annoy my hands which hand creams seem to do so will get this when I next need a new one.

I love… Iced Cookie and Mixed Berries shower creme - I had a few of these last month and I've finished of the set this month. They were really scented and smelt good.

Rituals Rice Scrub - This is the best scrub I've every tried. Its was really gritty, so was great at exfoliating but isn't irritating. Makes my skin really soft.

Aussie Winter Miracle Shampoo - Didn't really see any benefit from using this so wouldn't bother with this again.

The Body Shop Peppermint Foot Scrub - I liked this as it was really rough on the feet and I loved the minty smell. Although it did the same as the Ritual Rice Scrub so would just stick to my normal scrub for my feet now.

Skin & co Silicone Body Wash - I got this from a Birchbox and have had this brand a few times. I don't really like it as I find it hard to use. I think its only because its a small bottle and had to get out.

Benefit The Porefessional Primer - My Favourite ever primer! Even though This is the only bottle i've had its so much better than every other primer I've used. Going to repurchase as soon as I've got rid of a few others I've got.

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner - This is the best felt-tip eyeliner that I've tried. Its really easy to apply and a good dark colour which is long-lasting. I have already repurchased this again.

Illamasqua Hydrating gel -  I got this in a birchbox and I did like this as it was made my skin so glowy. I wouldn't buy it again but the full size is really expensive.

Inika Liquid Foundation -I really liked this towards the end. I found it worked really well applied with a beauty blender. It wasn't very high coverage, but it was light and natural.

MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash - This wasn't my favourite high end mascara but it was nice to use while I had it.

So that it of my really long empties post. I've been focusing on a few certain products this month which is why I think theres quite a few, especially makeup. I'm still working through a few makeup products so next month might be a big one too. We will have to wait and see.

Link your empties post down below!! I love reading them :)
