Random Haul!

Heya everyone :) hope everyones doing well? I've recently been on a shopping trip and thought I'd share with you what I brought;

Debenhams
The first thing I brought was a Ghost the fragrant set. It has a mini perfume and moisturiser and it smells amazing. I got it on offer for only £16.67. I also brought  this Dead Sea Magik Delicate boosting mask. I've tried it already and it's really good. I'll be doing a review on it soon.

H&M
I only brought a couple of this from here and the first one was this super push-up neglige. It looks so nice and flattering. The other thing that I got, which I can't find the link for, is this sheer floral cardigan. Its really pretty and thought it would be perfect for summer.

Primark
I didn't take a picture of everything I got from primark, but I got a few underwear and bras. They are all pretty similar to the one in the pictures and who needs to see my underwear anyway :)

This was quite a small haul, but I really liked what I brought and wanted to share them with you :) hope you all have a good weekend :) x

Vidal Sassoon Salonist - Part 2

So today I am reviewing the VS Sassoon hair dye that I received from Supersavvyme (read this post for more info). The first thing that I noticed that was different about this box to any other brand is that it comes with a bowl and brush, rather than a bottle, which I thought looked more professional. It did make me wonder wether it was going to be easier or harder to apply, but I don't apply it my self so it wasn't going to be a problem for me anyway, aha.

I choose the darkest intense violet, as I was getting a bit bored of brown and fancied something a little different, so just went for it. The instructions to applying this was really straight forward. I found that mixing this in the bowl was a little more time consuming that It is to just shake it in a bottle, but my mum (who usually dyes my hair) found it a lot easier to apply this way than it is with other brands.

What really impressed me about this box is that it actually covered my whole head! I was a little worried as hair dye from a kit rarely stretches out onto my whole head, and as I was going purple it was going to be quite obvious if it didn't cover all of my hair. But it did. There is quite a lot of product, especially as half way though you add some hair serum which basically takes it back up to the amount you had at the beginning.

I was happy with the end result. Its so shinny and glossy. Its colour is quite dark and not very intense put I'm interested to see how it fade after a few washes. I would definitely use it again because, as it mentioned before, its rare for hair dye to not struggle to dye my hair, and I also think I could do this my self has I wouldn't have to worry about streching it out as much as I can. I was really impressed with this hair dye.

Vidal Sassoon Salonist - Part 1

I'm excited to tell you all about a project that I am apart of. I have been selected, along with 3000 people, to try and review the new Vidal Sassoon Salonist hair dye. I'm going to try one of these hair dyes and review in a separate post, but I thought I'd give a little intro into how I received them and what I'm going to being doing in the next few weeks.

Savvy Circle is a community on Supersavvyme who get to try out new products before they hit the shelfs over an 8 week period. Your job is to try the product and spread the word is anyway you want to, from telling your friends or by just posting a comment on line. They really value your opinions. If your interested in signing up for anything similar in the future, All you have to do is make a supersavvyme account, and then keep your eyes peeled on there website for projects there running.

The project that I'm taking part in at the moment is for Vidal Sassoon Salonist. It was sent it to me in some gorgeous packaging and I received 4 boxes of hair dye, so I can use one my self and give the others to my friends. I also got a hair towel and an information back about the brand and the project.

I really enjoyed doing the last project I did with them and am looking forward to giving this one ago, I realise this isn't the most interesting post and i'm not actually reviewing anything but I really wanted to explain what this was about before reviewing it properly. I would really recommend to anyone to have a look at this website, as if there doing a product that will be of interest to you, I think it would be really worth ago.

Funny Valentines Day Cards

As its valentines day coming up this weekend I thought I'd get into the spirit of it and do a little post. I was thinking about how much my opinion has changed since last year, as I was totally against it. I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting in restaurant next to loads of other couples watching everyone being all loved up. Also the fact that I don't need one day a year to tell someone I love them, or to do something special. This year I think my opinion has changed a little. I still feel the same about not needing a special day to celebrate my relationship, and I'm still not the most romantic, soppy person ever. But I am quite excited to just spend time with my boyfriend with a take away watching a movie (I still refuse to watch everyone else be loved up even if I am myself). But I'm improving as last year, which was my first valentines day with my boyfriend, we celebrated with a Mc Donalds after I came back down from uni for the weekend (so romantic). I'm interested to no what your opinions are on valentines day so let me no in the comments below??

As I've said I'm not a soppy person, so some of the cards in all the card shops I find a bit cringe! But I've been loving peoples post on rude valentines day cards and felt inspired to have a look myself online to see if I could find anymore good ones. The ones that I found are from Scribbler and They do some really good funny/rude cards, If your like me and soppy ones aren't your thing I'd definitely have a look. These are my favourite...

L'oreal super liner smokissme first impressions review

I recently went shopping in boots and found this L'oreal super liner smokissme. Its an eyeliner with a spongey applicator with a tip that you apply with then smudge out after. This really intrigued me as I love eyeliner and had never seen anything like this before. I first tried It by including it in my normal makeup routine, in the morning before uni, which was a stupid idea. It was really difficult to apply and it ended up all over my face. I managed to blend it out properly but found that It went a bit patchy. After I got back from uni (about 2 hours later) it was barely there. I wasn't really impressed.

After getting home I didn't think I gave it a fair chance. As I didn't have much time. So this time I tried it with my night time smoky eye look. I still struggled to not get it all over my face and its really difficult to blend out with the same brush, so I just used another one. Its quite hard to blend out so was still a bit patchy. I put on my grey eyeshadow over the top and I like the way it looked It did give it a more smoky effect and after wearing it for a few hours It hadn't creased, and It still looked as good as it did before I left.

My first impressions of this is that Its really hard to apply, and its doesn't really apply well. I wouldn't wear it on its own, but after my first experience I was impressed with how i looked with my normal smokey eye. I think I need more practice at applying it but at the moment its just to much of a hassle. Has anyone else tried this? am I just being stupid or is this difficult? what are your opinions?

January Favourites

Heya everyone! This month has gone so fast I don't know where is gone! I've been so busy this month catching up with uni, and trying to get things finished. I found it so easy this month picking my favourites as I've been pretty much glued to these things for the entire month.

My first favourite is the Garnier Ultimate Blends hair oil and it is amazing! This has made such a noticeable difference to my hair. Its made it look so much shiny and heathy and is actually making a difference to my split ends, which I've never found a product to do before.

I brought a couple of Mac lip liners earlier this month and they are so good. They make my lipstick/gloss stay on loads longer and I'm enjoying mixing up the colours with them. My favourite colour is in half red. Its like a darker nude colours which I think looks more dramatic. Which I'm loving. check them out here.

For my travels I got so fede of of reading rubbish gossip magazines that I don't care about. But this month Woman's heath magazine caught my eye and I really enjoyed reading it. I felt inspired by the workouts and recipes and there were articles in there that I actually wanted to read. Made my train journey go so much quicker.

I got this candle a couple of months ago for my birthday, and I've been loving it so much recently. I can't describe the smell but its amazing. Plus its my name, bonus!

This month I discovered this dip. OMG! It is sooo good. I've been eating a pack of popadoms with this dip every week. not great for my keeping heathy resolution, aha. It's the Tescos Mango and Kashmiri Chilli dip. You have to try it.

I've been powering through Pretty little liars quite quick this month on netflix. I've almost finished season 2. I think thats quite impressive for a month. I'm so hooked!

I've been using my Breville Blend Active nonstop this month. I brought it after christmas, and have been loving using this for breakfast. It's been keeping me fuller for longer and given me so much more energy throughout the day, especially at uni. I have a first impressions review here, and will do a few more post on my favourite recipes.

So here are a few of my favourite things this month. Let me no one of your favourites in the comments below?
