Primark Haul

I.ve recently been to primark and brought a little more than expected, so I thought I'd share with you what I brought today.

They had a lot of disney tops and I loved them all! I managed to get it down to my three favourite! I will probably wear these as pyjamas, because I don't normally wear this sort of thing out and about. My favourite one is the dory one, it made me laugh so much :) x

I also brought a few other bits. I needed a small bag work and thought this black one was simple and cute. I got a purse to fit in and to be honest I wasn't a massive fan or any of them but I needed one so I just got this red on as it was the only plain one. I've been wanting to try the brow pencils from primark for a while and finally picked one up, and there only a pound so can't wait to try it. I also walked passed this phone case and thought it was really cute. You can't really see the detail but its a cut out of a bird in some branches of a tree. Probably doesn't protect my phone much but I liked it lol x

Its not a massive haul but its definitely more than I needed to come out with, always the case with primark:)

The me time tag!

I've been very busy recently, so when I came across 'the me time tag' I thought It was perfect timing to do this as you always need a bit of me time however busy you are. so here it goes….

1. What do you watch or read during me time?
I'm usually on netflix or youtube. At the moment its pretty little liars. I'm about half way through season 4. If I'm watching the tele then I'll put friends on which is one of my favourites. I'm not a big reader, if I do its normally a magazine. I'm loving the body/health type ones at the moment. My favourite is Womans health.

2. What do you wear during me time?
Something comfy. A oversize tshirt and some legging usually.

3. what are your me time beauty products?
The only thing different I normally do during me time than my normal routine is put on a face mask. I use the Dead Sea Spa Magik Delicate Boosting mask, which I've done  review on here.

4. Current favourite nail polish?
I'm not a massive nail girl. The brand I usually go for is Barry M. I love wearing darker colours like blues and reds.

5. What do you usually eat/drink during me time?
green tea with lemon, or I have a massive thing for chocolate milk at the moment lol, I think I'm turing into a kid again aha. I usually eat something really unhealthy like chocolate or a big bag of crisp, but if I'm feeling like being good I'll get some pop corn.

6. Current favourite candle?
My favourite is the Amber Moon Yankee candle. My mum brought it for me because It had my name in it and I'm so glad it smells so good :)

7. Do you have outdoors me time?
No. Lol its to cold at the moment.

8. Would you ever go see a movie alone?
Not really. I don't really go to the cinema much anyway but when I do its more of a night out with a few mates or my boyfriend. If I want to see a film that know one else wants to see I would save my money and just wait for it to go online.

9. Favourite online shop?
I never really shop online, because I can never seem to find stuff that look as good on me as they do on screen. The only shop I really buy stuff from is asos.

10. Anything to add? What else do you do during me time?
It normally just involved me watching loads of tele, having a bath with a face mask on and eating loads of junk food. pretty standard really :)

If your reading this, I tag you!!!

Dead Sea Spa Magik Delicate Boosting Mask Review

I brought the Dead Sea Spa Magic Delicate Boosting Mask recently and have been loving it so much, so I thought I'd share my experience with you all today :)

The texture is so creamy, which makes it so much easier to apply and you don't need to apply a lot of product, which I liked.

Once the mask is ready to be removed, It doesn't dry much, so its really quick and easy to remove. I find other ones take so long to scrub off it just ends up irritating my skin. But this one is so gentile and I can feel what its done for my skin as I wash it off.

This product hydrates my skin so well. It really brightens it up and I can really notice the difference. It makes my skin feel really awake and it looks a lot clear and less patchy. I've only just recently started using face masks, but this one I am so impressed with. I would definitely recommend it.

I brought this product from Debenhams for only £7.95, which isn't to bad as I think this bottle is likely to last a while. II would love to try more of there products, as this has such a good effect on my skin. If anyone has tried any of there products before, let me know what you thought? :)

sweet potato and carrot soup

Recently I've been loving making soup. It's just so handy to make when you've got loads of veg that need using up and it's a great way to load loads of veg into your meal without even realising it. So today I thought I would show you how I made this soup. Its so easy to make and I always put in whatever I have in the fridge.

Ingredients
1 sweet potato
2 carrots
half a pepper
1 onion
a bit of chilli
a couple of bits of broccoli
handful of spinach
vegetable stock

 1. first I cut up the onion and the chilli and left them to cook on the hob gently while I cut up the other vegetables.

2. after I cut up all the vegetables I was going to use, I put them all in the pan with the vegetable stock and water (basically enough to cover everything)

3. then leave it to boil until the potato is cooked. (took mine about 15-20 mins but it will depend on how much your making)

4. then put it in a blender and start blending, then your ready to eat :)

I find this such a handy meal to cook. specially as a student, I don't like wasting my food, aha, so just shove anything in that I have at the end of the week. And you can also make loads so it last for a few days, another bonus :). Its also really yummy, I love eating it with loads of bread, brown of course :)

Vidal Sassoon Salonist - Part 3

I did a review a month ago on Vidal Sassoon Salonist hair dye (here). Today I thought I would do a follow up on it as I think its just as important to know how it looks after its had the chance to fade than it is just after you've dyed it.

As you can see from the before and after pictures it has faded quite a lot. The colour is meant to be 'darkest intense violet', and while I have recently had loads of compliments on my hair, when I tell them its meant to be dark purple, they are really surprised and even then still can't see that its purple, which I'm really disappointed with.

Also the roots are so much brighter purple, and although you can't see in the picture, Im most lighting they are really noticeable, which is my only real reason for wanting to get this dyed out straight away.

I can't decided if I like this colour or not, because I really wanted to go purple and from other peoples comments it really not apart from a little at the roots.

As for using this brand again I don't think I would based on this colour. It's £9.99 which is quite expensive compared to other brands that I normally use. So I wouldn't buy this product again. But I do have a brown shade that I might give a go before completely ruling it out. Has anyone else used this brand? let me know if you liked it or not? xx

Questions from Laurel

1. Where's your favourite place you've been on holiday? Or, if that's too hard, where would you most like to go on holiday?
The best holiday That I've been on is Disneyland Florida, over christmas. I went with my family a few years ago, and was a holiday that I had been waiting to go on for ages. It was definitely worth the wait.

2. If you had one hour left on Earth, who would you want to spend it with?
Thats hard! My boyfriend and my family. Don't make me choose.

3. What do you most enjoy cooking?

Mainly because I'm at uni its usually a break from doing my coursework. If i'm in the mood I do usually quiet enjoy it and find relaxing. But if I really can't be bothered then its the worst thing in the world and I don't enjoy any part of it.

4. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Do you get on with them?

I have a little brother. He's 15 which is the perfect age for him to be an annoying teenager. We do usually get on, but we definitely know how to wind each other up.

5. Who's your celebrity crush?

Watching the Brits last week made me fall back in love with Ed Sheeran

6. What is your must-have beauty product?

At the moment, is Garnier Ultimate Blends hair oil. It makes my hair feel super soft and shinny.

7. What is your favourite type of chocolate?

I'm not really fussy when it comes to chocolate. Anything milk chocolate. Probably cadburys creme eggs at the moment.

8. Do you keep a journal?
No I don't. I am keeping a scrapbook filled with lots of picture and memories though which I'm trying to keep throughout this year.

9. What's your favourite thing about blogging?

Theres so many things. I love reading other peoples blogs and then feeling inspired to create my own posts. I'm a creative person so I love spending times taking the photos and thinking about how the post is going to come together.

10. If you could give one piece of advice to yourself five years ago, what would it be?

Don't worry about what people think! I was quite a shy person and definitely held back as a teenager. If it was just what I wore or giving an opinion. I would try and convince my self to break out a bit more and not worry what people think, because In a couple of years your probably won't know most of them anyway.

11. What colour are your bedroom walls?

White. I'm renting a house where I'm studying at uni so don't get much of a choice. At home there grey. not much more interesting but I did actually choose that colour.
